Remedial massage
Hands-on treatment for tension, stiffness and pain — most often backs, necks and shoulders. We find the cause, not just the sore spot.
Remedial massage · Caringbah & Gymea
Remedial massage for people who want to keep moving — athletes, and everyone juggling work, kids, ageing parents, training and the rest of it. The aim is to find the cause of the discomfort, reduce the tension, and get you back to what you were doing.
Three rooms, one week
The two clinics run their own booking systems — the links above take you straight there. For Tuesdays at the home studio, or if you're not sure which room suits you, send me a note or call.
About
I'm a remedial massage therapist with a degree in Sport and Environmental Studies. I love the outdoors — I cycle, I walk, I run a bit. I love to move.
I became a massage therapist to help family and friends manage the back and neck tension that turns into pain and takes the enjoyment out of moving. Over the years the practice has grown to treat clients from all walks of life.
I work alongside skilled physiotherapists who support me with complex conditions, and I'll always refer on when that's the right call. Professional, informed, and interested in what's actually going on — that's the job.

Treatments
01
Hands-on treatment for tension, stiffness and pain — most often backs, necks and shoulders. We find the cause, not just the sore spot.
02
Movement-based work that changes how you use your body between sessions, so the treatment holds longer than the drive home.
03
For training loads and the niggles that come with them — before an event, after one, or through a block. Keeping you moving well, not just recovering.
04
Certified prenatal treatment, positioned and paced for pregnancy, for the aches that come with a changing load.
05
Slower, softer, and no agenda beyond letting the tension go. Sometimes the nervous system is the thing that needs the treatment.

I'm registered with ATMS and have a provider number, so most private health funds with extras cover remedial massage. Tyro is available on the spot at the clinics — you pay the gap and the rest goes through then and there.
Cover varies fund to fund. Worth a quick call to yours before your first visit.
Common questions
Usually — and if I can't, I'll tell you and point you to someone who can. Thirty years in, most of what comes through the door is tension that's been building for a while. If it's something more complex, I work with physiotherapists who can take it from there.
An hour suits most people for a first visit — enough time to work out what's going on and actually treat it. Thirty minutes works for a specific, familiar problem. Ninety if there's a lot of ground to cover.
The Healthy Body Company in Caringbah on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Dynamic Performance Physiotherapy in Gymea on Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings. My home studio on Tuesdays, 10 to 6.
Most extras policies cover remedial massage. Tyro at the clinics means it's processed on the spot. Check your level of cover with your fund first.
